Card 2 - 6 Oct
This card is asking you to slow down - plain and simple... Putting too much energy and attention into doing things; tasks or work does you no favours in the long run. You will find that if you balance your time and attention into all areas of your life - this will pay dividends in unexpected ways in the areas you are expending the most amount of effort currently. Take a step back - resting is not weak.
The Goose reminds us to listen and honour what it is our body and heart are asking of us - more movement? more stillness? more mindfulness? A detox of electronics, news, TV, internet, certain foods or alcohol? More nature, water, air, sunsets, Earth time, plants and animals? Be willing to be open and try new things that perhaps you have considered - but have never done.
This card also speaks of taking time to relax and restore in those in-between periods of high activity and achievement AND between completing one project before rushing in to start another. There is no need to stress and strain yourself.
Be mindful and aware of your power of choice - you do not have to give this power away - embrace this power, the importance of this and have fun with choosing something different or new. Be aware of how easy it is to slip into old habits and to be consumed by a false sense of urgency and immediacy and need - when this may not be entirely true - it may just suit the story we are telling ourselves at the time.
Show yourself, or the situation, or the other person / people involved some compassion and kindness here. Honour and value your time and the flow of where your energy goes.
